National Service Project

At the 2010 EAST Conference, the 2011 EAST National Service Project was announced. The National Service Project is an annual opportunity for EAST Programs nationwide to pool their talents toward a common goal. The recipient of our efforts for 2010-2011 is the USO (United Service Organizations). Since the announcement, thousands of EAST students have joined the effort. We will celebrate the results of these projects at the 2011 EAST Conference.

The USO is a congressionally chartered, nonprofit organization, and is not a part of the federal government. Since 1941, the USO mission has remained the same: to provide morale, welfare and recreation-type services to service members and their families.
